Laminar Flow equipment incorporates HEPA (High Efficiency
Particulate Air) filters rated 99.99% efficient D.O.P. on 0.3 micron or
larger as defined in Federal Standard 209. ULPA (Ultra Low
Particulate Air) is 99.999% efficient at 0.12 micron or larger
scanned on laser particle count. Laminar air flow (unidirectional
flow) is air in a confined area moving in a uniform velocity along
parallel flow lines.
Laminar Flow Cabinets are constructed of laminated plastic,
bonded to 3/4" high-density Novaply, and 16 ga. cold rolled steel.
Work Surfaces are laminated 3/4" high-density Novaply.
Polypropylene (3/16" thick) is used to maintain structural integrity.
Optional Plexiglas or stainless steel side panels are available.
Motors/Blowers use direct or belt motor/blower combinations.
HEPA filters are glass fiber media pleated and bonded to an
aluminum frame using a non-hardening adhesive and closed cell
neoprene gasket. Additional specifications for pre-filters, velocity, power cord,
lighting, noise level, and optional motor vibration mounts are
listed in current Liberty catalog.
